What is search engine optimization( SEO)?
Search engine optimization is the process of optimizing, or making your site good and look natural for search engine rankings. The term natural is used to differentiate SEO from the purchased, or sponsored search engine rankings.
There are two primary ideas of search engine optimization –
- on-page seo
- off-page seo.
On-page seo is primarily that part of seo which is performed on the web page itself.
On-page seo is of great importance as without it one cannot even wonder if a web site should really be ranked at all. Thus On-page seo is the foundation and the most important element of search engine optimization.
On page seo means optimizing the title, the keywords, the description, and the contents in such a way that it expresses the web page as its main premise and emphasize the keywords, when the search engines read the source code of the page
Off-page seo is primarily that portion of seo that is performed outside the realm of the web page itself – primarily on other people’s web sites – hence the term off-page seo.
Off-page seo is generally the creation or proliferation of inbound links to your web page that have similar topics to your web pages’ theme – namely keywords.
In all we can say that on page seo is the short topic or a keyword and off page seo is is the description of the related topic.
